Well, this has turned out to be a fail :)
Seems I'm updating Twitter more often, pop over and have a look: welshcuriosity

Just a quick update - i'm still alive!
Will update with what's been going on soon...
...ish
Back in a bit - got shit to sort out
In other news, birthday came and gone, work is still work, nothing other major to report
Well, 2007 is almost over. What a weird year it's been.
Was fired. Re-hired. Got a new job. Fired again. Got another job, still there :D
Still no love life, not for the lack of trying!
Still living in Cardiff, but i'm finally getting off my arse and trying to sort out my finances.
I should write more, but i'm lazy :D
It's been 4 years since my father passed away
Still miss you Dad, take care xx
Well, less than 2 hours after I last posted saying we had free rooms, they were filled. Seems the letting agency had already found people, but hadn't told us, so it was a nice surprise to see two brothers letting themselves into the house!
Don't really want to talk too much about the home situation, so I'll just leave it at that.
Work is going fine for a change. In the cinema, the evil manager has transferred to a new site, so it's nice and calm there. Got a new general manager, but I haven't had a shift with him yet, so not sure how he is.
Body wise, been having some pains in my sides, had some blood tests at the Doctors, my Gamma GT's are really high, what ever those are :/ Also had an ultrasound scan in hospital - the gel they use is bloody cold!
Work in the call centre is going good. Ten and a half hour shifts 4 days a week, but they don't seem like 10 1/2 hours, its prob because some of the calls can take over a hour to sort out, so the day flies by. Quite a few cute/hot/fit/horny lads there, will have to see what fun can be had :D
Even though I've only been there just over a month and a half, I think when I pass probation I wanna try and get a trainers job, been helping a few people who started after me, it's kind of fun helping someone learn how to do something. Or maybe try for a team leader's job, or if possible, try and get on the IT team :)
I'm currently on a train on the way to London after being in work today. Taking part in some Eurostar trials tomorrow, get to see the new St Pancras station before it officially opens, and get to ride of the trains. Also a free return ticket to France and £25 expenses, not too bad for a day off work :D
I'd better dash, have no idea how much this is costing me, using my phone as a modem, I dread to open my next phone bill!
Laters
The house mate has just moved out
Peace and calm has been restored to the house once again :)
Now we've got 2 empty rooms, anyone know anyone looking for somewhere to live?
Well, what a fun few months it's been.
First of all, I managed to get a job working with 118118 on the phones. It was a good job, good people, easy job, great. Until I had to leave 3 weeks into it. Turns out I didn't disclose part of my dyslexia on the application, but did on a later assessment, so they classed it as withholding information at the recruitment stage. Was taken off the phones in the middle of the day, and walked out of the building. Which sucked.
I applied for a few jobs, and last week had an interview for another call centre in town. Turned up for the interview/assessment, expecting it to be a group thing, but I was the only one who turned up, so had the interview man all to myself (oh, i wish!). Passed the assessments (with apparently the highest score he had ever seen), passed the interview, and 20 minutes after I had left, had a call offering me a job :)
So come monday, I start my new job, yay!
Apart from that, not much had happened. Mardi gras came and went, oh, what fun was had. God bless rugby players :D
And that about sums up the last few months. Pretty boring I guess, but hey, that's me :)
Well, all the shit that I had to deal with is over.
Basically, some money went missing in work about 2 months ago, and one of the girls pointed the finger at me, because in her words, I was "looking suspicious".
Our wonderful(!) acting general manager then suspended me, and eventually fired me.
The evidence she had and used was full of holes, it contradicted itself in places, and was, basically, a complete load of shit. In the investigation, my union rep was great, she pulled the evidence apart, and pointed out all the mistakes. But, of course, the manager didn't agree with our views, and it was her decision to fire me.
I appealed, and the appeal was done by the area manager. The reasons for my appeal ran to 3 pages long, there were so many mistakes she made in the handling of it, it was unbelievable.
I had the appeal on Tuesday. The union rep came with me again, and we thought that if we could get it turned down to a final written warning, my resignation, and an agreed reference, that would be the best outcome.
But to our surprise, the area manager, after hearing our case, agreed with us, and overruled the manager and i got my job back, and my pay back dated.
And that's the short version of it. There's quite a bit I've left out. Maybe I'll post the full version another time.
I accepted my job back, mostly because I had done nothing wrong, and because it'll take the pressure off finding another job with no money coming in.
So now, I'm back there, but I'm looking for something better, where the managers know what they're doing and pay is at a decent level.
Although, I have had effectively 2 months off work, paid, so it's not all bad :D
On a side note, updating the site's software, so comments aren't working at the moment
Taking a break - things going on that i need to sort out first
Hopefully back soon
Some people are just born c*nts!
Yesterday, about half 5, i was walking up the road towards the house. There was a lad stumbling outside our front garden, clearly pissed, trying to put his trainers on.
As i walked past him, he started shouting at me to "give my fucking shoes back".
I told him I didn't have them, and they were on his feet but he wasn't having any of it.
I thought fuck it, and left him and came in the house. Not 20 seconds later, there was a bang at the front door.
Me and Huw (one of the housemates) went to see what it was, and couldn't believe it.
The twat had kicked the glass panels in, but didn't want to stop there. He then kicked the door frame. Luckily the lock held (just about), and he ran off.
I chased after him, while phoning the police on my mobile.
The door is completely fucked. He's broken the frame, the glass, it's a mess. We need a completely new door.
Luckily the police caught him, and the landlord/letting agency are replacing the door, but still - half 5 in the evening, in broad daylight.
What a complete cunt!
I've had to take 2 days off work to sort out the police and wait in for the landlord, so i've lost money myself.
If we see him around, we'll see how he likes having a foot go through him
Over the last few days, i've had to move the site over to a new host
Still tweeking things here and there, so if you see any errors/problems, please let me know :)
Well, i'm still 25. It still sucks.
Apart from the getting older, there's nothing of note to say about the last month and a half - work still sucks, still single.
I made a London visit a few weeks ago, unplanned. Just finished work at 6, jumped on the first train i could, and that was that. Caught the first train back in the morning, and straight into work. Across the country twice, and i still managed to make it into work on time :)
Trying to plan a proper visit soon, it's payday at the end of the month, will see when i can plan my visit, see people i haven't seen for ages *waves to everyone in london*
Should really try and write more often, but for that, i'd need exciting things to happen in my life...
Roll on the excitment!
Bloody hell
25
How did that happen :(
